Our Vision
Teaching the Professionals of tomorrow
Young Adult Life Skills 101* is a website dedicated to teaching young adults about skills you will need after you graduate high school. In school, a lot of your time has been focused on reading, writing, math, and extracurricular activities, etc., but most never learned the skills they will need for life after high school.
As a teacher, I can’t count the number of times I would hear a student say, when will I use this in real life? They were more interested in how to write a check, how to apply for college, how to apply for a scholarship, start a business, etc. There were so many who just wanted the answers to simple real-life questions.

We are here For you
Our mission is to help you navigate through your new adventure of becoming an adult in the real world. Life after high school can be tremendously different. Think about it. You have spent the last 18 years ( or close to it if you are a junior) of your life with the adults in your life telling what to do and how to do it. In some cases they may have been doing everything for you.
Now, suddenly you are the adult who will have to make all of the decisions in your life. The question that most young adults ask when faced with these new real life situations is, how do I? Our goal is to answer this question ahead of time so that whatever situation arise, you will know what to do.

Becoming a young adult is an exciting time in your life. If you are like most, you now have a level of freedom that you have never had before. As a matter of fact, you have been looking forward to this for a long time. You have talked about it, dreamed about it, and now that it is here you have a lot of questions but few answers. You think, ummm… maybe I need to rethink this whole adult thing. Speaking as a parent who has three and soon to be four adult children.. Nope, that is not an option. We have done our job. You got this! It’s time for you to fly.
The transition from childhood to adulthood can be scary if you have not been adequately prepared. There are a lot of people out there who mean well and will go out of there way to help you. However, there are just as many people who will take advantage of your youth and naivety. They hope you are unaware of your rights, both civilly and financially. Our goal is to help you navigate these life situations.
Born from a lot of questions from my high school students who were about to embark on adulthood feeling overwhelmed and clueless, this website is dedicated to educating you as much as possible to help make this transition as smooth as possible.
